FOUR MAIN DAVIS RULES FOR ENSURING OUR GROWING COMMUNITY SUCCESS...

Promoting our city more effectively in all areas for growth and development. We need to continue to work with our Economic Development Department to aggressively seek out more industry that will provide more jobs for young families to reinvest in our community.

Ensuring responsible spending. We need to strive with a new council to budget effectively in all city departments and capital projects which are identified by council. This includes examining all cost related to our infrastructure needs.

Enhancing our cultural arts, heritage and tourism to benefit the entire Quinte region. This includes maximizing our opportunities both here at home in Belleville and throughout the Bay of Quinte region through more partnerships for community events, festivals and waterfront activities. We need to preserve and protect our cultural heritage landscape where ever possible. It can serve as a catalyst for tourism and can be an economic engine for our future I believe we must find a workable solution for our historic vacant buildings such as the Memorial Arena. It can serve as a great civic centrepiece in our downtown core.

Maintaining a safe and accessible community for all our citizens. This includes ensuring that all our emergency service buildings such as police and fire have adequate facilities throughout our wards and the most updated equipment to perform their jobs effectively. We need to continue to make our city accessible for everyone to live work and play.
